The UFO trick (sometimes also called Sleeping Beauty) provides the basic technique for launching [YO]² Delta as a spin top. Throw the yoyo to your side, causing it to spin horizontally. Pick up the string with the thumb and forefinger of your free hand, and lift it up in front of your face. Alternate between throwing left and right to keep the string from tangling up.
